2014 is going to be an exciting year for events in Plettenberg Bay – with a number of inaugural sporting events being launched last year, and some new sport and cultural events coming up in 2014, there has never been a better time to plan a Plett visit. February:
13-16 February: Plett Music Festival – expect sultry summer evenings filled with jazz music as headliner performers showcase their musical talents at The White House during the Valentine’s weekend. More information & bookings
April:
18-21 April: Discovery Plett Easter Games – in Plett, the Easter weekend isn’t all about eating chocolates – fitness fans from all over the country flock to Plett for the annual Easter Games which includes trail running, surf-ski paddling, mountain-biking, an open-water swim, a township run, a golf challenge and a Kids King of the Beach competition. 26 April – 4 May: Plett Adventure Bike Week: as motorbike fanatics, we are really looking forward to this first-ever event in Plett. Although it might seems that Plett is slipping into winter, the weather is really mild and perfect for some awesome adventure biking!Bikers will get information on the routes and on the various attractions in the area and it is entirely up to you where you go on each day. There will be groups leaving on various rides at various times and you are encouraged to join a group, or invite others to ride a route with you. More information
July:
2-4 July Wedge Classic Bodyboarding Contest: South Africa’s longest running bodyboarding contest brings boardriders from all over the country (and further afield) to compete for the title of “King of the Wedge”. Plett’s Wedge Beach is ideal for bodyboarding and, as it’s located tucked up against the rocks, is a super place for spectators and beach activities during the contest. More information

13-16 September PE>>Plett 4 Day Stage Mountain Bike Race: 2013 saw the limited space on this stage race sold out in no time at all. Popular with mountain bikers because the route must be one of the most spectacular in the world, this year’s event will be a reverse – starting in Plett and ending in Port Elizabeth, full of new sights and challenges: More information & bookings
15-21 September Plett Wine Festival: Coinciding with the PE>>Plett race, another first for Plett is the Plett Wine Festival. It is a little known fact that Plettenberg Bay has been a Wine of Origin region for quite a few years and our vineyards are producing some special wines that are gaining international and local notice. A visit to the Plett Wine Festival will include good food, awesome weather, Plett’s beautiful natural environs and sublime wines! More information
