The area around Plettenberg Bay is superb for mountain biking and trail running and, as a result, Plett is a premier destination for some of the most incredible stage races in the country.
Speed through the forest, race through green fields and vineyards and sail along coastal trails, overlooking the blue Indian Ocean – the MTB trails of Plett are some of the most spectacular in the world! There are still 3 incredible bike races this year, so if you’re up for a challenge – you won’t be sorry!

The third edition of the Garden Route’s most spectacular stage race, the Dr Evil Classic, will take place from 18-20 September 2014. The trail, once again designed by the legendary Dr Evil himself, may sound “evil” but it’s 3 days of action packed fun comfortably suited to most riders.
