The right picture can say a thousand words. And Plett Summer probably has a thousand pictures, and a thousand different “Plett feelings”, too! Here are some of our favourite summer photos to get you into the swing of things in our little coastal Garden Route town.

SUMMER MUSIC COLOUR RUN

So many colours to our Plett Summer and one of our favourite events is the Summer Music Colour Run. This year, it will take place on the 30 December and will have five colour stations and three music stations, a giant slide and dogdgeball court – it’s all about fun in the sun!

SAIL AWAY THIS SUMMER

There are few things more quintessentially “Plett” than sipping a chilled glass of bubbly aboard the Ocean Sailing Charter’s yacht, Ocean Rhythm as the sun slips below the horizon. Cruises can be tailored to include sundowners, snacks and snorkelling and there are few more relaxing ways to spend a day.

SEAFOOD AT THE SEA

Oysters, sole, mussels, linefish, prawns – drizzled with lemon, creamed in garlic or simply splashed with Tabasco sauce, seafood always tastes better at the coast: that fresh, salty air filling your lungs will you sip your wine and savour your seafood. Mmmmmm

PRETTY IN PINK, FOR A GOOD CAUSE

The Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge is another highlight on the Plett Summer calendar. Organised in aid of the Sabrina Love Foundation, the ocean challenge has evolved to include a “Kids of Steel”, ocean kayak and swim, trail run, beach walk and MTB ride, so there really is something for everyone!

ROBBERG IS A MUST-VISIT

Robberg is Plettenberg Bay’s World Heritage Site, national monument and nature reserve – all rolled into one long arm that reaches out into the Indian Ocean. The Robberg Peninsula offers three circular hikes of increasing distance, gorgeous views and an excellent opportunity to sea marine wildlife. Also, it’s just really cool to visit.

POLO IN PLETTENBERG BAY

A summer visit to Plettenberg Bay would not be complete without attending the international polo match on 29th December 2018. The match accommodates jet-setters and holidaymakers alike and the action on the field is lightning fast and extremely entertaining!

GET WET IN PLETT

What would summer be without a few ocean adventures? For those meandering mermaids, try a scuba course, snorkelling with seals or surf lessons. Land-lubbers can enjoy an ocean safari, stand-up paddling or deep-sea fishing. There’s something for everyone.

MUSIC SOUNDS BETTER OUTSIDE

We’re all for open-air music venues, especially in summer. South African favourites, GoodLuck have a summer residency at the Beacon Isle Hotel and Sundays are their day to entertain on the lawns of the Beacon Isle. With good music and ocean views, this is a perfect Plett Summer setup.

OUR BEAUTIFUL BEACHES

Last, but not least, are our gorgeous Plett beaches. With six international Blue Flag beaches ranging from Robberg all the way to Nature’s Valley, you’re spoiled for choice and could comfortably visit a different beach for every day of the week!

Are you ready for Plett Summer 2018?
