There is going to be more to the Sasfin Plett Wine & Bubbly Festival this year than simply strolling along and sipping bubbly. The event, which was a great success last year, has expanded to include a full week of events including all manner of sports, music and food pairings. This is fast becoming one of best times of year to visit Plett for the spectacular weather, quieter town and so much to keep you busy!
The Sasfin Plett Wine & Bubbly Festival main event will take place at a venue on Plett’s glorious Central Beach, showcasing more than 30 wines and bubbles from 10 local Plett Wine Estates. We are very proud of the award winning wine and bubbly that has been produced in Plett over the past years and know that, as the region develops, it is only going to grow in popularity and produce!
Sporting events during the festival week include the Robberg Xpress Trail Run – a one-on-a-kind adventure run on the famous Robberg Peninsula and a Breast Cancer Awareness walk which will show off Plett’s beautiful natural surrounds. Over the festival main weekend, the Sasfin Plett Classic golf is sure to be a super day and the popular Tour de Plett MTB race will take riders through the forest and Fynbos finishing in dramatic style on Plett’s Central Beach, where the wine & bubbly will be flowing. Musical performances include Idols winner Jason Hartman and gorgeous Cat Simoni. The Plettenvale Masquerade at the new Equinox restaurant is going to be an evening of fine food pairings and waterfront views!
