Plett is gearing up for the our first ever Food │Film Festival at the White House during the Plett MAD Festival
11-13 July 2014
There has been much interest in this new event for Plett and the call for entries into the festival has led to a number of interesting and inspired entries – including one from Plett’s very own foodie and fisherwoman, Maggie Ubsdell.
The goals of the festival will be to entertain and enlighten festival-goers with local and international feature films, short films and documentaries related to food and all things gastronomical. The festival hopes to encourage discussion with presentations hosted by experts in their fields and, finally, to serve up culinary presenations by local food connoisseurs related to the films presented on a given evening.
An additional goal is to provide 6 young filmmakers with the opportunity to attend filmmaking workshops and create 2 short films to be screened at the festival.
If you are a food lover, the Plett Food Film Festival is one not to be missed, so watch this space for the full schedule (to be released soon) and ticket sales information.
