What happens after the sun goes down in Plett? After a busy day exploring all that Plettenberg Bay has to offer, you might be tempted to stay in, but the nightlife in Plettenberg Bay is interesting and varied with excellent restaurants, cocktail bars and charming local hangouts to meet new people while backpacking in Plettenberg Bay. Here are some of our favourites:
Surf Cafe: Surf Cafe is a friendly, relaxed bar & restaurant that specializes in Mexican food, surf videos & live music. They often feature bands from all over South Africa and Surf Cafe is a popular place with both locals and visitors and always has a great vibe.
Zanzibar: Zanzibar is an  upmarket cocktail bar & lounge that is popular with the late night crowd. Cocktails are served on the stylish, comfortable patio and the DJ’s are great for dancing late into the night!
Island Diner: Island Diner is the restaurant and sea lounge at the iconic Beacon Isle Hotel, which is perched suspended over the rocks and the ocean. It’s a great spot to stop and have a drink in the sea lounge with stunning ocean views, while the Indigo Bay Restaurant specializes in seafood and grill dishes.
The Table: The Table Restaurant in Plett’s Main Street is most popular on Wednesday and Friday evenings when they have “Street Hour” which includes cocktail specials (between 4-6pm) and a DJ on Fridays to start the weekend off right!
